Difference Between the Lineage and Impact View and Relationships View

The Lineage and Impact view and Relationships view display different information. The Lineage and Impact view shows visual representation of data flow for an asset and Relationships view shows visual representation of asset relationships in the Catalog tool.
The lineage and Impact view shows you the end-to-end data flow for an asset. You can use this view to understand how a change to one or more assets affects the remaining assets in the data flow. Lineage shows you where the data for an asset comes from and which assets affect the asset that you are studying. Impact shows you where the data is used and which assets might be affected if you change the asset that you are studying.
The Relationships view shows you the relationship between a selected asset and other related assets. The Relationships view helps you understand how a selected asset is associated with other assets.
