Prerequisites for the Tableau Server

Before you configure and use Enterprise Data Catalog Plug-in, contact your administrator and make sure that the following prerequisites are met:

•Enterprise Data Catalog is installed.
•Access to the Tableau Server.
•In the Catalog Administrator, make sure that the administrator has performed the necessary administrative tasks, such as creating the required resources for the relevant Tableau asset, Business Glossary, Axon, and domain users. To view the lineage and impact information, make sure that the administrator has configured the related resources and connection assignment settings.
•If you upgrade from an existing version to the latest version of Enterprise Data Catalog, you must re-run an existing Tableau resource before you can view it in the plug-in.
•To disable Enterprise Data Catalog plug-in access from all URLs, configure the log level to ERROR in the Catalog Service options, or disable the site access in the Chrome browser.
