Search Prefilter Configuration

You can use the Search Prefilter Settings page to set up the search prefilters that you want to view in the Search Results page.
You can create search prefilters to save the search filter criteria. After you create a search prefilter, you can edit the search prefilter properties in the Search Prefilter Properties section. The Search Prefilter Properties section displays the name of the prefilter, filters used to create the search prefilter, users and groups that have permission to view the search prefilters, the owner of the selected prefilter, and the order that the search prefilter appears in the search box.
A user who created a search prefilter can edit the prefilter. You might want to edit the search prefilter to change the name of the prefilter, select or clear search filters for the search prefilter, and revise the view permissions for the search prefilter. You can edit the search prefilters that you create, but not the default search prefilters.
You can also delete search prefilters that you no longer use. When you delete a search prefilter, you delete the search filter settings along with the search prefilter. You can delete search prefilters that you have created, but not the system search prefilters. You can simultaneously delete multiple search prefilters.
In addition, you can change the order in which the search prefilters appear in the search box.
Alternatively, you can perform this task using the REST APIs. For more information, see the List the Search Tabs, List the Definition for a Search Tab, and Changing the Search Tab Order topics in the Enterprise Data Catalog REST API Reference guide.
