The Compact View

When you open the Lineage and Impact tab for an asset, Enterprise Data Catalog displays the compact view by default. Use the compact view to understand the summarized lineage and impact information at the resource level. To enable the compact view in the Lineage and Impact tab, turn off the Classic View option.
The compact view displays the origins of the data, the seed asset, and the destinations for the data. The view, by default, displays the intermediate assets between an origin and the seed asset and between the seed asset and a destination. The assets in the compact view appear within their own resource box. Each resource box consists of data objects and data elements that participate as the origins of the data or the destinations for the data. If the assets in the origins and destinations belong to different resources, the assets appear in separate resource boxes. The seed asset appears within its own frame even if there are other assets in the data flow that are within the same resource.
