Accept Data Domains

You can move specified data domains to the accepted state and reject other data domains in bulk using the Enterprise Data Catalog Add-on. To perform bulk curation, export the assets to a CSV file and specify the data domains to move to the accepted state. Use the add-on to parse the CSV file and generate an output file. In the output file, the specified data domains are moved to the accepted state and all other data domains are moved to the rejected state. Import the CSV file into the Enterprise Data Catalog tool to curate the assets.
Specify the data domains that you want to move to the accepted state.
  1. 1. Export the assets to a CSV file.
  2. 2. Open the CSV file that you exported.
  3. 3. Add an AcceptedDataDomains column at the end of the worksheet.
  4. 4. For each asset that you want to curate, enter the data domain that you want to move to the accepted state in the AcceptedDataDomains column.
  5. 5. Save the file.
Perform bulk curation.
  1. 1. Access the Enterprise Data Catalog add-ons.
  2. 2. In the My Services page, click CurateAssist.
  3. 3. Click Choose File and select the CSV file.
  4. 4. Click Curate to parse the file.
  5. 5. Click the Download button to download the output file.
    6. The data domains that you specified in the AcceptedDataDomains column are moved to the accepted state and all other data domains that were in the Accepted or Inferred state are rejected.
  6. 6. Import the CSV file that you downloaded into the Enterprise Data Catalog tool to complete the data domain curation for the assets.
