Creating a Data Set Version by Reusing The Data Set Name
You can create another version of a data set from a different plan. You must enter the same data set name to create the data set version.
Read the data set creation guidelines before you create a data set version.
1. Click Projects and open the project from which you want to create the data set version.
2. Click Execute and open the plan from which you want to create the data set version. Alternatively, create a plan. You must select Test Data Warehouse as the target connection.
3. To create a version of a data set, enter the data set name in the Data Set Properties section. Data set names are not case sensitive. When you enter the name of a data set that exists in the test data mart, you create a version of the data set.
4. Update the application name and application version if required.
5. The tags added to the data set appear in the list of tags. You can add tags or delete the existing tags.
6. Enter or edit the plan settings, and then click Finish to save the plan.
7. To generate and run the workflow, click Actions > Generate and Execute on the Plan Properties page.
You can view the job log messages in the Monitor page. When the job completes successfully, you can view the data set version in the Data Sets view.
