Test Data Repository and Test Data Mart Overview

Configure a test data repository and a test data mart to create a central and secure location to store, manage, and share test data. Store versions of test data as data set versions. You can share data set versions across users and reset a data set version to a target to restore a test system to a required state.
The test data repository is a relational database that stores the metadata related to the data set versions. The test data mart is a relational database that stores the test data warehouse data. You must add the database as a connection in Test Data Manager. You can then configure connection as the test data mart.
Create the test data repository and configure the test data mart from the Administrator | Repository and Data Mart view.
To create the test data repository and the test data mart, you must enable the test data warehouse option when you create the Test Data Manager Service.
For information about how to enable the test data warehouse when you create the Test Data Manager Service, see the Test Data Management Installation Guide.
Note: If you delete the Test Data Manager Service and create it again after you have created the test data repository and test data mart, you must create the test data repository and test data mart again.
