Locking and Unlocking a Data Set Version
To prevent users from editing or resetting a data set version, you can lock the data set version. You cannot make changes to a locked data set version. The owner and the administrator can reset a locked data set version to a target, but cannot edit or delete the data set version when it is locked. You can reset a locked data set version if you need to check the data before you allow other users to edit or reset it. You can unlock the data set version when you want to allow edits to the data set version.
1. Open a data set version and click the Overview or Permissionstab.
2. To lock the data set version, click Actions > Lock.
The data set version appears as locked in the Data Sets view. The Edit options do not appear in a locked data set version.
3. To unlock the data set version, click Actions > Unlock.
The status of the data set version is updated in the Data Sets view. The Edit options appear in the data set version.
