MCP server policies

MCP server policies define the authentication methods that can be used with the MCP server and the operational policies like rate and payload limits. MCP server policies are displayed on the Policies tab of the MCP server details page.

Note:

In the preview release, the policy properties are set to default values and can’t be changed.

The following table describes the authentication policy property:

Property	Description
Authentication	Authentication methods that can be used with the MCP server. You can use session-based and OAuth 2.0 authentication to authenticate with a composite MCP server. For more information about OAuth authentication, see OAuth authentication. For more information about connecting to an MCP server using different authentication methods, see Connecting to an Informatica MCP server.

The following table describes the operational policy properties:

Property	Description
Rate Limit	Frequency of requests that a client can make within a specific time window. Default is 1000 requests per minute.
Payload Limit	Maximum size of data that the MCP server and MCP client can exchange in a single request or response. Default is 1 MB.
