Define and run the generate search indexes or match keys job
When you update the search configurations or match model configurations for the business entity, you can run this job using the MDMSearchIndex process or the MDMMatchReindex process.
Note: Effective in the November 2023 release, the ability to run this job to generate report indexes is available for preview. To index report data, you can run this job by using the MDMSearchAndReportsIndex process.
Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances. 1Click New > Jobs > Generate Search Indexes or Match Keys > Create.
The index job dialog box appears.
2Specify the job properties and click OK.
The index job page appears.
3Click the asset picker, and select one of the following options:
- MDMSearchIndex or MDMSearchAndReportsIndex. If you see the MDMSearchIndex option, it indexes records for search requests. If you see the MDMSearchAndReportsIndex option, it indexes records for search requests and report data.
- MDMMatchReindex. Generates match keys for the match process.
4If you select the MDMSearchIndex or MDMSearchAndReportsIndex process, perform the following actions:
aIn the Assets section, click Add Asset.
The Select an Asset dialog box appears.
bSelect the business entities and hierarchies that you want to run the job on, and click Select.
5If you select the MDMMatchReindex process, select a business entity that you want to generate the match keys for.
aSelect the record type that you want to generate match keys for. You can select the following options:
▪ Source. Generates match keys for all the source records in the business entity.
▪ Master. Generates match keys for all the master records in the business entity.
Important: To match and export data, generate match keys for all the master records. The match process uses the match keys of master records to match the data from the input file with that of the master records.
6Save the job
7To run the job, click Run.
