Add business entities to an application

You can add business entities and configure the display fields for each business entity. The values of the selected display fields appear in the left navigation bar when you open a record. You can view the list of components, such as search box, notifications, and tabs, that are enabled for the application. The enabled components appear on the application header and left navigation bar.
You can configure preview fields for each business entity. MDM SaaS displays preview images associated with records on the search results and related records pages.
    1On the Explore page, find and open the business application.
    The Model tab appears.
    2In the Business Entities section, click Add Business Entity.
    A blank row appears.
    3To add a business entity to the business application, click the asset picker.
    The Select an Asset dialog box appears.
    4Select a business entity, and click Select.
    The selected business entity appears in the row.
    5Select the display fields that a record can display in the left navigation bar when you open the record, and click Done.
    6Select a URL field to display preview images for records, and click Done.
    Note: You can view the URL fields that are root fields and searchable.
    7To remove an associated business entity, hover over a row, and click Delete.
    8Click Save.
