Troubleshooting translation file import

When you import a translation file into the Business 360 data store, the import might fail. To troubleshoot the issue, understand the error, it's cause, and how to resolve it.

Error

When you download a translation file from a source organization and import it into a target organization, the import fails with the following error:
Can't process translationfile-en (15).json because of incorrect content. Verify the file and try again. GUID of metadata object in 'c360' namespace should start with 'c360.'.

Cause

This issue occurs if your source organization contains custom reports that were created before the October 2025 release. MDM SaaS validates the namespace parameter in the metadata object and checks if the parameter starts with the name of the business application, such as c360..
Custom reports created before October 2025 are saved with a namespace parameter that doesn't include the business application name. When MDM SaaS extracts these metadata objects from the translation file into the target organization, the import fails.
Note:
If your custom reports were created after the October 2025 release, the import succeeds and no action is required.

Resolution

To resolve the error, perform the following steps:
  1. 1Export and reimport the report set in the source organization
    1. aIn the source organization, navigate to the Explore page.
    2. bFilter the report set of the business application that contains custom reports.
    3. cTo export the report set, click Export.
    4. dImport the downloaded report set into the source organization.
      5. Note:
      When you import the report set back into the same organization, MDM SaaS automatically removes the namespace parameter from the custom reports.
  2. 2Download the translation file from the source organization
    1. aClick Localization > Translations.
    2. bOn the Translations tab, click the Download Translation File icon beside the language.
  3. 3Upload the translation file to the target organization
    1. aIn the target organization, click Localization > Translations.
    2. bOn the Translations tab, click the Upload Translation File icon beside the language.
    3. cSelect the translation file to upload, and click Upload.
