A modernization project stores all the modernization assets together. You can define up to 10 modernization projects in an organization.
1Click Modernization.
The Modernization page appears.
2Click New Project.
The Define Project page appears.
3Enter a project name.
4To upload a change list file, click Choose File, and select an XML file that contains the configuration details of the MDM Hub.
Note: Ensure that the maximum size of the XML file is 95 MB. Also, in the current release, you can define projects only for change list XML files that use the Usa population in the match rule set.
5Select a business application in MDM SaaS to which you want to add the modernized business entities.
6To upload the user accounts file, click Choose File, and select a CSV file that contains user details.
Note: Ensure that the CSV file uses commas as delimiters. If any other delimiters are used, the upload fails.
7To upload the user role mapping file, click Choose File, and select a .properties file that you created.
For more information about the user role mapping file, see User roles mapping.
Note: Ensure that the maximum size of the .properties file is 4 MB.
8Select one of the following options:
- Manual Mapping. Allows you to manually map business entities and their fields or base object columns in the MDM Hub and MDM SaaS through mapping files. For more information about modernization mapping files, see Manual mapping
- Smart Mapping. Creates business entities and their fields in MDM SaaS based on the business entities in the MDM Hub. For more information about smart field mappings, see Smart field mapping
9Click Save.
The project is saved with the uploaded files, and the Map Fields page appears.
