You can view hierarchies that appear on the Hierarchies page. You can also view the hierarchy of a record at a specific point in time to investigate its constitution at that time. By default, the current hierarchy appears on the Hierarchies page. You can also sort and filter the records in the hierarchies.
1Click Hierarchies.
The Hierarchies page appears.
2Expand the hierarchy model to which the hierarchy is associated.
The hierarchies associated with the hierarchy model appear.
3Select the hierarchy that you want to view.
The hierarchy properties appear. If you don't have access to the hierarchy, you can't expand the hierarchy.
4Click Open.
The hierarchy appears on a tab.
5To view the details of a record, click a record.
The following tabs appear:
- Child Records. Displays the child records and their relationships with the selected record.
- Parent Records. Displays the parent records and their relationships with the selected record.
- Dynamic Field Definitions. Displays the dynamic field definitions of the selected record. You can add, remove, and configure the dynamic field definitions. For more information about dynamic field definitions, see Manage Records.
6Optionally, for a hierarchical record, filter the child and parent records that appear on the relationships list panel.
aClick the Filter icon.
bFrom the Add Filter list, select to filter by record type, relationship type, or relationship attributes.
The filtered relationship records appear in the relationships list panel. If you don't have access to the records, you can't see the parent and the child records.
7To sort records that appear in the relationships list panel, click the column that you want to sort on, such as Record or Relationship.
8To view the hierarchy at a specific point in time, in the Point in Time field, select the date and time.
The hierarchy at the specified point in time appears.
