You can export the search results to a CSV file. The exported file contains the values of fields that are set to be searchable and the values of fields that appear as filters. The exported search results don't contain dynamic fields.
1From the Search Results page, select the records that you want to export.
2Click Selected > Export.
The Export Records page appears.
3In the Summary section, you can review the details of your search results.
The following table describes the details of search results that you want to export:
Parameter to Export Records
Description
Business Entity

Search Term
String used to search for business entity records.
Include Validation Error Details
Includes validation error details for records with validation errors in the exported file.
To exclude the validation error details, such as validation error type, severity, and the error message, for records that contain validation errors from the exported file, clear Include Validation Error Details.
Note: By default, the files for export includes the validation error details of the selected records.
Number of Records

Filters
The selected filter values used to narrow the search results.
Picklist
Picklist details that you select, such as codes, values, or both, and include in the exported file.
Select the picklist details you want to include in the exported file. You can export picklist codes, values, or both.
Note: To use the exported file to ingress data into your business application, ensure that you select picklist codes or picklist codes and values.
4In the Attributes to Export section, you can view the complete list of attributes. Select the attributes that you want to include in the exported file, or apply a saved template to export the records.
Note: When you select attributes such that the exported file size exceeds 100MB, the export search results job fails. Refine your search to reduce the number of records or attributes to export and try again.
When you choose Select All fields, facetable dynamic fields aren't selected. Ensure that you manually select the dyanmic fields that you want to include in the exported file.
After you select the attributes, you can save your selection as a template to repeatedly include a set of attributes or proceed to step 7 to export the records.
5To save a set of selected attributes as a template, perform the following tasks:
aClick Save as Template.
bIn the Save as Template dialog box, enter a template name.
cClick Save.
6To include a set of attributes and apply a saved template to the list of attributes, perform the following tasks:
aClick Apply Saved Template.
bIn the Select Template dialog box, select the template that you want to apply to the list of attributes.
cClick Apply.
7Click Export Records.
The export process doesn't consider space as a value. When you export records that contain blank data for a particular field, the export process excludes the blank data for that particular field in the exported file.
If the field has a value along with spaces in between, the export process considers the space. For example, ABC corporation is exported as ABC corporation.
Multidomain MDM SaaS retains the exported data for 15 days.
Sample exported search results file
The exported search results file includes the field details in the following format:
•The first row includes all the root field values. The root field values appear in all the rows.
•A separate row includes all the source record details.
•Additional rows are included for field group and nested field group entry. All the field values in a field group or nested field group entry appear in a single row.
Also, you can view additional columns that contain the IDs of field groups and nested field groups.
•First column displays metadata ID of a record.
•If records contain validation errors and if validation errors are included in the exported file, the file contains a row for each validation error type. For example, if a field in a field group contains three validation error types, such as warning, information, and error, the exported file contains three separate rows for the field.
Additional columns display details such as severity and error message.
•Additional columns display picklist details that you want to export, such as codes, values, or both.
The following table lists a sample exported search results file that includes separate rows for records with nested field groups that contain validation errors:
