As a stakeholder for an asset, you can continue participatating in the pre-existing workflows that were defined in Application Integration prior to the April 2025 release.
The following conditions apply if you want to participate in a pre-existing workflow:
•Your organization administrator must provide you the relevant permissions for an asset so that you can create or modify the asset and approve or reject a workflow request. For more information about the assets and permissions required to participate in workflows, see Prerequisites for workflows.
•In Metadata Command Center, assign the 'All Stakeholders' role to any of the input fields to ensure that associated stakeholders can view ongoing workflow tasks. The 'All Stakeholders' role allows you to dynamically assign the stakeholders of a human task. Based on the roles you select in Metadata Command Center, ongoing tasks are visible to the respective stakeholders after the tasks are generated.
•In Application Integration, the administrator must define a dedicated input field for stakeholder assignment in the Start step of the process and map the 'Stakeholders' task role with the allStakeHolders input field for each human task configured in the process.
Note: Tasks related to workflows created using the Application Integration process will continue to appear in the Workflow Inbox until the next major upgrade for Data Governance and Catalog. To streamline your ticket management experience, the Tasks Inbox will fully replace the Workflow Inbox in the next major upgrade for Data Governance and Catalog. Before the next major upgrade, ensure that you complete all tasks pertaining to workflows created through Application Integration. After the upgrade, any open tasks from these pre-existing workflows will expire, and the associated tickets will be cancelled.
1The Notifications area displays your approval task. Click on notification to open a ticket or a task.
2Alternatively, click the Workflow Inbox icon at the top of each page.
3On the Open Tasks tab of the Workflow Inbox page , click the Claim button to assign the task to yourself.
Note: The Claim button appears only if there are multiple stakeholders for the ticket.
4To proceed with the approval workflow, click the button that corresponds to the action that you want to perform.
If the workflow is still in progress, the next participant in the workflow receives a notification. If the workflow reaches a terminal state, the workflow is complete.
