Connect to Amazon Redshift

Let's configure the Amazon Redshift V2 connection properties to connect to Amazon Redshift.

Before you begin

Before you get started, you'll need to get information from your Amazon Redshift account based on the authentication type you want to configure.
To configure the Default and Redshift IAM Authentication via AssumeRole authentication types, you need to complete the authentication prerequisites. To learn more, check out Prepare for authentication.
To create a connection using the AWS user name and password, you'll need to get these details from your AWS account.
The following video shows you how to get the information you need:

Use Secret Vault

Note: If you’re using this connection to apply data access policies through pushdown or proxy services, you cannot use the Secret Vault configuration option.
For information about how to configure and use a secrets manager, see Secrets manager configuration.
