Connect to Google Analytics

Let's configure the Google Analytics connection properties to connect to Google Analytics.

Before you begin

Before you get started, you need to create the Google service account, enable the Analytics API, and configure the Google Analytics account.

Connection details

The following table describes the Google Analytics connection properties:

Property	Description
Connection Name	Name of the connection. Each connection name must be unique within the organization. Connection names can contain alphanumeric characters, spaces, and the following special characters: _ . + -, Maximum length is 255 characters.
Description	Description of the connection. Maximum length is 4000 characters.
Type	Google Analytics
Runtime Environment	The name of the runtime environment where you want to run tasks. Select the Informatica Cloud Hosted Agent.
Service Account Email	The client_email value in the JSON file that you download after you create a service account.
Service Account Key	The private_key value in the JSON file that you download after you create a service account.

API version

You can configure Core Reporting API v3, Analytics Reporting API v4, or Google Analytics 4 API version to read from Google Analytics reports. Default is Core Reporting API v3.

Select the required API version and then configure the API version specific parameters.

Core Reporting API v3

The following table describes the connection properties for Core Reporting API v3:

Property	Description
Account ID	The Google Analytics account ID associated with the Google Analytics project. Specify the account ID to read data from the following reports: - Content Grouping - Ecommerce - Goal Conversions When you read data from any other report, leave the property blank.
Property ID	The Google Analytics property ID associated with the Google Analytics project. Specify the property ID to read data from the following reports: - Content Grouping - Ecommerce - Goal Conversions When you read data from any other report, leave the property blank.
View ID	The Google Analytics view ID associated with the Google Analytics project. Specify the view ID to read data from Goal Conversions report. When you read data from any other report, leave the property blank.

Analytics Reporting API v4

The following table describes the connection properties for Analytics Reporting API v4:

Property	Description
Account ID	The Google Analytics account ID associated with the Google Analytics project. Specify the account ID to read data from the following reports: - Content Grouping - Ecommerce - Goal Conversions When you read data from any other report, leave the property blank.
Property ID	The Google Analytics property ID associated with the Google Analytics project. Specify the property ID to read data from the following reports: - Content Grouping - Ecommerce - Goal Conversions When you read data from any other report, leave the property blank.
View ID	The Google Analytics view ID associated with the Google Analytics project. Specify the view ID to read data from Goal Conversions report. When you read data from any other report, leave the property blank.
