Manual enrichment doesn't scale across connected assets. It creates repetitive work and inconsistent metadata as the catalog grows.
Enriching connected assets manually presents the following challenges:
•Curation does not spread. When you enrich an asset, that curation does not reach the other assets connected to it through lineage.
•Repetitive effort. Teams re-apply the same enrichments, such as classifications, descriptions, business names, and glossary associations, across multiple assets that share the same data.
•Inconsistent metadata. Because each asset is enriched separately, metadata becomes inconsistent across connected assets. Inconsistencies increase as the catalog grows.
•High cost. The manual effort is time-consuming and hard to sustain. The inconsistent metadata can undermine trust in the catalog.
