Updating a data classification

You can edit an existing data element, data entity, or document classification.
To edit an existing classification, perform the following steps:
    1In Metadata Command Center, go to the Explore page.
    2Click the menu on the top of the page and select Data Classifications.
    On this page, you can browse through all existing classifications, and view basic information about each.
    3Open the overview page of the selected classification by performing one of the following steps:
    The overview page of the selected classification appears.
    Note:
    The overview page of a data entity classification displays the name, description, and the previously created inclusion rule.
    The overview page of a data element classification displays the name, description, sensitivity level, and the classification category.
    The overview page of a document classification displays the name, description, confidence score threshold, and reference documents.
    4Update the classification. You can update or modify the following information:
    Note:
    Metadata Command Center allows you to update or modify the predefined data classifications that you import. If you import the same classifications again, they retain their default names regardless of the changes that you made.
    5Click Save.
If you edit a data classification that is associated with a catalog source, you must rerun the data classification capability for that catalog source for your changes to appear.
If you edit a document classification that is already trained, train the classifier again so that the classification engine is up to date with your changes. For more information, see Training the classification engine.
