Creating a match model from scratch

You can create a match model from scratch for both custom and predefined business entities.
    1Open the business entity, and click the Match tab.
    2On the Match Models page, click the Add Match Model icon.
    The Add Match Model wizard appears.
    3Configure the model name and model objective.
    Note: In the current release, Resolve Duplicates is the only model objective that is available.

    4To configure the maximum number of candidates that the match process can use for each record, select Custom, and enter a value from 1 through 1,000,000.
    For more information, see Maximum candidates.
    Note: Effective in the May 2023 release, the ability to set the maximum candidates for matching is available for preview. Preview functionality is supported for evaluation purposes but is unwarranted and is not supported in production environments or any environment that you plan to push to production. Informatica intends to include the preview functionality in an upcoming release for production use, but might choose not to in accordance with changing market or technical circumstances.     5Select a default match population to use if the records don't contain any population information.

    6Click Next.
    7On the Add Candidate Selection Criteria page, configure candidate selection criteria.
    1. aTo add a criteria, click the Add Criteria icon.
    2. bSpecify the business entity field name, field type, filter candidates by, key generation level, and the candidate search level for candidate selection.

    8To open the match model immediately after the model is created, select Immediately open the model.
    9Click Add.
    If you selected Immediately open the model, the match model opens. Otherwise, the match model appears on the Match Models page.
