Manage multilingual assets

You can manage and display attribute values in multiple languages. When you enable multiple languages, users across your organization can view and work with reference data assets in their preferred language.
The languages available to your organization are defined in the Localization Languages code list. This predefined code list identifies each language by a BCP 47 language code and specifies the default language for your organization. When you set a string attribute of a reference data set or code list as multilingual, you can view the multilingual values in each preferred language that you add to the Localization Languages code list. If a value isn't available in your preferred language, Reference 360 displays the value in the default language.
You can add languages to the Localization Languages code list manually through the user interface or use the external localization REST API to import the language code values into the code list. For more information about the external localization REST API, see external localization.
To maintain reference data assets in multiple languages, configure the Localization Languages code list with the languages that your organization uses. Set the required string attributes as multilingual and enter a value for each attribute in every configured language.
