Request Access to a Data Collection
After you find a data asset that you need for use, you must request the data owner for access to the data.
1. Open the data collection for which you want to request access, and review the details of the data collection.
2. Click Checkout.
The Checkout page for the data collection appears.
3. In the Request Details step of the checkout process, enter the following properties:

Business Justification | Brief description about your use of the data collection. The data owner reads this description to decide whether the access request to the data assets is valid. |
Delivery Target | Select a delivery target for the data collection. You can select a delivery target based on the delivery method and format that appears here. The list of targets that appear here is specified by the data owner. To add a delivery target, see Publish Data Sets as Data Collections. |
Delivery Requests | Optional. Enter additional notes for the request. |
The page also displays custom fields for data collections that the administrator has configured in the Data Marketplace settings panel. For information on configuring custom fields, see the Configure Custom Fields in the Axon Data Governance 7.2.1 Data Marketplace Administrator Guide.
4. Click Next.
The Usage Guide step of the data collection appears.
5. In the Usage Guide step of the checkout process, read and accept the policy for using the data collection.
The Data Marketplace Administrator or Axon SuperAdmin user can specify this policy text in the Data Marketplace settings panel. The usage guide can contain multiple policies. For more information, see the Assign Users and Specify Default Terms of Use topic in the Axon Data Governance 7.2.1 Data Marketplace Administrator Guide.
6. Click Submit Order.
You have placed an access request for the data collection.
The data owner receives the email notification that you have place an access request for the data collection.
7. In the Order Submitted step of the checkout process, review your order. Click View Order to view the details of the order.
Your request to access the data collection is complete. You can see your request on the My Orders page. The data owner or technical owner for the data collection can see your request in the Requests sub-tab of the Tasks tab. The Data Marketplace administrator can see your request in the Request sub-tab of the History tab.
