Creating an MCP server

1Perform either of the following steps:
• - Click New > MCP Server > Composite MCP Server and then click Create.
• - Click MCP Servers > Composite MCP Servers > Created and then click Create MCP Server.
2Enter a name, select the location, and optionally enter a description and tags.
3Click Create.
The MCP server details page is displayed.
4On the Overview tab, enter the MCP server's purpose in the About this MCP Server field and add the key capabilities and use cases.
To add a key capability or use case, enter the capability or use case in the Key Capabilities or Use Cases field and then click Add. You can add multiple key capabilities and use cases.
5On the Actions tab, click Add Action.
The Import Action wizard opens.
6To add an action, perform the following steps:
1. aOn the Select Source page, select the Application Integration process that you want to expose through MCP, and then click Next.
Note:
The provider is always Application Integration.
2. bOn the Select Action page, select the operations you want to expose as tools, and then click Next.
3. cOn the Summary page, review the source, operations, and inherited policies, and note any warnings.
4. dClick Import.
7On the Actions tab, select the tool, and optionally add a description and select the annotations that apply to it.
8Repeat steps 5-7 to add actions from other Application Integration processes.
9On the Policies tab, review the authentication and operational policies.
Note:
The policies are set to default values and can’t be changed.
10Click Save.
