Configure a method that a stakeholder of a data collection can use to deliver the data to the Data User.
For example, if you configure FTP, email, and API as the delivery methods, a stakeholder of a data collection can select one of the three options as the delivery method to deliver the data.
Combine several delivery formats and delivery methods to create a unique delivery template.
For example, if you create JSON and XML as delivery formats and configure FTP, email, and API as the delivery methods, you can combine these to create the following delivery templates:
- Delivery Template 1: JSON format and email delivery
- Delivery Template 2: JSON format and FTP delivery
- Delivery Template 3: JSON format and API delivery
- Delivery Template 4: XML format and email delivery
- Delivery Template 5: XML format and FTP delivery
- Delivery Template 6: XML format and API delivery
Stakeholders of data collections use delivery templates to create new delivery targets for their data collections. A delivery target is unique to the data collection for which it was created. Even if the same delivery template is used to create multiple delivery targets, Data Marketplace classifies each target as a unique delivery option.
For more information, see the Specifying delivery targets for data collection topic in the Working with Data Collections help.
