Creating a match model from a copy

You can create a match model for a predefined business entity from a copy of a match model. You can create a copy of a predefined match model or a model created from scratch.
To create a match model from a copy of a match model, perform the following steps:

Step 1. Review the existing match model

Review the predefined or a custom match model to determine whether the model meets your business requirements.
1Open the predefined business entity, and click the Match tab.
2On the Match Models page, click the name of the match model.
    The Model Configuration page appears.
3Review the basic model configuration and the candidate selection criteria.
4Next step: If the match model meets your requirements, use the model without changes. Otherwise, configure a new model starting from scratch or from a copy of the existing model.

Step 2. Create a copy of a match model

After you determine the need to customize a match model, create a copy of the model.
Note: You cannot edit the predefined match model, so create a copy of the model for customization.
1On the Match Models page, click the Copy icon beside the name of the match model.
The Copy <match model name> dialog box appears.
2Enter a unique name for the match model, and click Copy.
A copy of the model in the draft state appears on the Match Models page.
3Next step: Configure and publish the match model.
