Editing code lists

You can edit the details and code values of a code list.
For more information about editing code values, see Editing code values.
You can edit details, such as general properties, external URLs, notification recipients, attributes, display settings, and stakeholders of a code list. You can't edit the structure definition or attributes that the code list inherits from the reference data set.
For more information about the editable details of code lists, see Code lists.

Add multilingual code values to existing code lists

To add multilingual code values to an existing code list, enable the multilingual property for the required attributes in the code list. You can enable the property for all string type attributes, except for the Code attribute.
For more information about the impact of multilingual assets in Reference 360 and MDM SaaS, see Rules and guidelines for managing multilingual assets.
When you enable the multilingual property for one or more attributes and save the code list, the data in those attributes is deleted, so back up the attribute data before you enable the property.
To back up the existing code values, perform the following actions:
  1. 1Export the code values as a CSV file that is prepared for localization before you enable the property for an attribute. Ensure that you select the Prepare for Localization option when you export the code values.
  2. 2Edit the export file and add the multilingual code values.
After you enable the property, import the code values.
For more information about exporting existing code values and importing them as multilingual code values, see Exporting code values and Import multilingual code values into code lists.
After you import the multilingual code values, add the preferred additional languages to display the attribute values.
