Validation
Validations during activation of a characteristic
The following conditions have to be met in order to successfully activate a characteristic:
The parent characteristic has to be active.
If the data type is lookup value, a lookup has to be set.
A root characteristic has to have a category.
A root characteristic has to have at least one entity.
A mandatory root characteristic is not allowed to have default values.
Validations during deactivation of a characteristic
The following conditions have to be met in order to successfully deactivate a characteristic:
All child characteristics must be inactive.
